“Into The Black is a fantastic first single… a moment where time stands still. Very exciting!” – John Kennedy (Radio X)
London-based singer/songwriter Shaun O’Reilly is set to release his second album, ‘Turn To Face The Strange’, on Vulgar Road Records.
Produced by Nick Pini (Laura Marling/Tom Jones), Shaun continues to blur the lines between the melancholic mellowness of Elliott Smith with the blues bark of Captain Beefheart, whilst showing vast strides in his artistry since his esteemed debut.
A fondness of folk led him away from a metal band and into a solo career, with shows now seeing him pull crowds across Holland, Germany and France. His much-loved 2019 single ‘Witches’ featured in legendary Americana publication No Depression, with Words For Music branding him “a people’s poet with the language of song running through his veins”. Legendary DJ Dean Jackson was heard on-air saying how he found himself playing Shaun’s music “on repeat”, and in the run up to the new album, John Kennedy has been showing huge support from singles ‘Into The Black’ and ‘Crazy Beauty’ on his Radio X show.
